Thorben Konstantin Rusch
Konstantin is a PhD student in Applied Mathematics at ETH Zurich, supervised by Prof. Dr.
Siddhartha Mishra. His main research interest is in physics-based machine learning, where he
focuses on leveraging structure of physical systems to construct novel machine learning algorithms
with a better inductive bias, as well as on advancing methods from numerical analysis with machine
learning to solve problems in scientific computing.
Prior to his PhD studies, he obtained an MSc in Applied Mathematics from the University of
Edinburgh, as well as a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Bonn.
