Scott Shenker Elected to National Academy of Sciences

ICSI's Chief Scientist Scott Shenker has been elected to the National Academy of Sciences. He is one of 100 new members announced on April 30th, along with 25 foreign associates. In addition to his leadership role at ICSI, Shenker is on the EECS faculty at UC Berkeley and has co-founded several tech start-ups, including Nicira, Nefeli, and Databricks. He is a past recipient of the IEEE Internet Award, the SIGCOMM award, and the Paris Kanellakis Theory and Practice Award. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and is a fellow of IEEE and ACM.
