New German Postdoctoral Visitor Program
ICSI is pleased to announce that the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has approved a new postodoctoral visitor program with ICSI through the IFI Program. The program is administered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
Hosting German postdocs is ICSI's longest running international collaboration, beginning with ICSI's inception 30 years ago. Since then, hundreds of German postdocs have visited ICSI. While in Berkeley, postdocs have the opportunity to work with bay area computer scientists and make industry connections to Silicon Valley. Alumni from the German visitor programs have gone on to become professors and industry leaders in computer science in Germany, and frequently continue to collaborate with ICSI scientiststs. We look forward to many more years of hosting postdoctoral visitors under the new program.
If you are a German scholar interested in learning more about the program and how to apply, please visit the IFI program webpage. You can also browse our mentors page to find an ICSI scientist focused on research that interests you.
