Scott Shenker Receives Berkeley Visionary of the Year Award

ICSI Chief Scientist Scott Shenker was honored by the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce as one of three recipients of the Berkeley Visionary of the Year award. Kirsten Macdonald, CEO of the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce, said "He created the gold standard for software defined networking, so a lot of the research tools we use today are based on his network." The award, which is a partnership between campus and the city, recognizes individuals who bring innovation and entrepreneurship to the city of Berkeley.
